Look Who’s a Boys & Girls Club Alum –  Check Out the Boys & Girls Club Alumni Hall of Fame Honorees

Check out a few outstanding Boys & Girls Club alumni.

The Boys & Girls Club has long been a pillar of support and development for America’s youth. Across the country kids of all ages partake in programming to gain the skills that they need to succeed in life. In fact, many members of the Boys & Girls Club go on to become successful business people, professional athletes, great scholars, award-winning entertainers, and more. Their experiences in the Boys & Girls Club helped shape their youths to open doors to a bright future. Since its beginning in 1860, the Boys & Girls Club’s Alumni Hall of Fame has continued to grow. The 2017 honorees include Anthony Anderson, Tony Clark, Skylar Diggins-Smith, Dante Lauretta, Paul “Triple H” Levesque, Philip S. Schein, and Jason Witten. Here are just a few of the alums that gone on to be great members of society.

Anthony Anderson

Known for his many roles on the big screen and his latest ABC sitcom “Black-ish,” Anthony Anderson was one an attendee of the Watts/Willowbrook Boys & Girls Club in Los Angeles. Anderson continues to support the Boys & Girls Club and is a 2017 honoree.

Misty Copeland

As one of the most noted principal ballerinas of the American Ballet Theater, Misty Copeland first began to dance at age 13 at the San Pedro Boys & Girls Club. She continues to advocate for involving more young girls into ballet.

Dante Lauretta, Ph. D.

After spending his youth at the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Phoenix, Dante Lauretta continued on the get his Ph.D. in earth and planetary sciences. He later went on to work for NASA and has since developed the “Xtronaut” program, which helps to facilitate and engage kids in a STEM curriculum. Lauretta is a 2017 Boys & Girls Club honoree.
